Becoming a BASEF 2006 General Sponsor
BASEF is only made possible through the generous support of our sponsors. Your sponsorship allows us to promote student interest in science and technology and organize and stage our annual fair. More importantly, it allows us to advance our top students to the National and International Fairs where they can compete against the very best students from across Canada and around the world. From every sponsorship dollar, nearly 75% will go directly to the students in the form of cash, prizes or trips, or Activity Day.
Registration for students is free and includes participation in Activity Day. Registration has increased tremendously over the last few years and we were able to maintain that level for 2005. Thanks to our sponsors, BASEF has been able to award 24 students with all expense paid trips to the national and international science fairs for the past several years. In 2005, Team BASEF returned from Vancouver, B.C. with cash and prizes worth more than $36,000 and the greatest number of awards of any regional science fair in Canada. This is the second year in a row that BASEF students were the #1 team in all of Canada. And on top of that, we can proudly say that Hamitlon is home to the #1 science student (all ages and categories) in all of Canada. It doesn't get any better than that!
