BASEF 2004, the 44th
annual Hamilton / Halton-area fair, was held March 31st to April 3rd
at Mohawk
College of Applied Arts & Technology in Hamilton, Ontario.
Results
We congratulate all of our participants for their hard work and enthusiasm;
judges, guests and organizers were all impressed with what they saw.

Who can enter?
The 2004 fair is open to students registered in grades 7 through 12 in schools
within the City of Hamilton, the Region of Halton, Haldimand County, Norfolk
County and Brant County, including students of independent and private schools
as well as home-schooled students.
What happens?
The fair takes place over the course of four days, starting with project
set up on the first day, judging on the second day, trips and activities
on the third, and culminating in the award ceremony on the Saturday.

Registration will be kept open until

On-line Registration
The on-line registration form is available until noon
on Friday, March 5th. Review the instructions before
you begin, and be sure to fill out the draft form on paper first in
order to make things easier for yourself.

Registration: Mail Replacing Fax
Please note one significant change to the registration process: faxing signed
permission and review forms has proven in the past to be very frustrating because
so many people try to reach the fax number at the same time; this year
signed forms will be accepted by mail instead.

Call for Judges
Earlier this week the BASEF Judge in Chief Tom Crawford issued a "Call for
Judges" to all past science fair judges, and other interested members of
the community who have an interest in this tremendously rewarding activity.
