2) DO YOU WANNA DANCE?
Hip-hop and Jazz. Learn from professional dance
instructors new steps and dance routines that you can try out
at your next school dance. Classes start with a
warm-up/stretch and a mini-workout followed by the actual
dance portion of the class. The class will centre around
"hip-hop" and "jazz" with recognizable
tunes such as: Brittney Spears, Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys,
club mixes, etc. It is easy for everyone to take part in, feel
comfortable and have FUN!

3) ARE YOU UP, OR DOWN, FOR IT?
Join us in the world of gymnastics where you can
experience the trampoline, tumbling floor, in-ground foam pit,
bars, rings, etc. Qualified instructors will be there to run
you through a circuit where you will be able to experience all
the apparatus a trained athlete uses to prepare for
competition and get first hand experience with biomechanics in
action. Watch a live gymnastic routine given by National
athletes. Also learn about the Coach-In-Training Program. Did
you know you don’t have to have gymnastics experience to
become a coach? Use the hours you spend in the gym to fulfill
your community service requirements or start a part or
full-time career. Why flip hamburgers when you can flip
kids!!!

If you like it hot and you like it cold this
activity is for you. For the first half of the activity you
can cool down at River Oaks Arena as you skate along with
great music and meet new friends. Use the second half of your
activity to warm up while swimming at the White Oaks Swimming
Pool.

5) WHAT DOES EDMUND HILLARY, ZORRO, CHUCK NORRIS AND HOJO
SHIGETOKI HAVE IN COMMON?
They are all famous and they all would have been
able to enjoy themselves at this activity. If you sign up for
this activity, or should we say activities, you will
experience all of the following: - Rock Climbing -
climb in a fun and safe indoor climbing gym. Helpful tips from
our resident climbers will have you reaching the top in no
time. - Fencing - Sword fighting - it’s fun! It’s
exciting! It’s safe! Experienced instructors will have you
sparring by session’s end. - Kickboxing - train like
the pros! Interactive non-contact, sport related training
drills. Test your skill with light sparring at the end of your
session. - Jiu Jitsu - come experience the world’s
oldest known form of marital arts used by the Japanese Samurai
Warriors. Jiu Jitsu incorporates kicks, punches, throw falls
and ground work making it the most versatile and enjoyable of
all martial arts.

Visit the Head Office of Tim Hortons. Learn all about one of
Canada’s biggest business success stories. Take a tour of
the Training Centre where they teach new Tim Hortons
storeowners and staff how to make that perfect cup of coffee
and delicious donuts. Find out about possible part-time job
opportunities in your area. And best of all, sample their
Timbits!

7) FOUR!
Try one of the fastest growing sports in the world, GOLF!
Tee-up and tee- off on the indoor driving range located inside
a large air dome. There is also a small, lifelike mini-putt
you can try to challenge your putting skills. If you are
feeling confident, and weather permitting, you can try out
your new found golfing skills on the outdoor 3-par golf
course. Also included in this activity is indoor soccer. Kick
off your frustrations from the driving range by having a quick
game of indoor soccer.

8) COME FLY WITH ME!
This activity includes short aerial tours via small,
privately owned, certified, general aviation aircraft flown by
the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), the local
chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association. All
participants will have their names added to the "World's
Largest Log Book". An instructor will be available to
explain general navigation, requirements for becoming a
Private Pilot and answer any questions you may have. This
activity will depend upon good weather. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR
PARENT SIGN A "YOUNG EAGLES" REGISTRATION RELEASE

Want to unravel some of the mysteries behind computers?
Want to know how to install software and network a computer?
Well here is your chance. Students who register for this
activity will participate in a fast paced lab setting where
groups (with assistance from instructors) will be tasked and
timed in computer assembly, operating system installation,
peer-to-peer network setup, and file and application sharing.
Once that’s done you can reap the rewards of your hard work
by playing a computer game or two.

12) DESIGN YOUR DREAM HOUSE!
This is an architectural design activity where you
will be given the opportunity to design your dream house! We
provide the property and some design skills, you provide the
creativity. Participants will be introduced to the basics of
residential design (room sizes, adjacencies, building
orientation) as they create preliminary design plans and
elevations of their dream residence.
13) BRIDGE BUILDING 101
You will have fun building a bridge with Popsicle
sticks and glue. Registered participants will be sent a copy
of the design specifications so they can begin constructing.
Bring your completed or partially completed bridge on the
activity day and see how your bridge will stand up under the
test.

14) WALKING WITH ROBOTS
How do robots walk or see or clap their hands? This
activity will highlight the basics of controllable movement.
The participants will take part in the construction and
programming of a simple robot in a control systems laboratory.
15) ELECTRONS COME FREE
Step into the exciting high tech world of
electronics. Have fun building your own remote
transmitter/receiver. Control anything from a distance!
Professional supervision will assist you every step of the
way. Leave with a fully functional project to impress your
friends and family.
